Here at BotN we have a few simple rules that need to be read and understood before you can join our site. The rules are very general and are probably a part of every other roleplay site out there. So all members should know them by now.

1. No disrespecting or discriminating on this site. When you enter this community of roleplayers we expect you to be civil towards each other so be it by pm, post or chatbox, please do not discriminate and/or disrespect each other.

2. This site is rated 'R'. That means that it is meant to have some adult content. This does not mean that we are a Buffy porno site. This means that we are all grown ups and we can handle some sexual content (if done tastefully), cussing (not every other word.), and violence. So please don't be shocked if you see any of this going on, however do not take it over board or you will be given a warning.

3. No God-modding. I'm sure every single roleplayer knows what this means and has experienced it in one way or another. If you haven't consider yourself lucky. If you have you know why this rule must be followed. If anyone is caught god-modding they will be giving a very strict warning. If it does not stop after that you will be banned.

4. One character per account please. This is a rather simple rule, all that we ask is that you only have one character per account. Also your display name MUST be your character first and last name. So no 'spikechicc222'. Real names only. Also try to be original, but not too crazy original where we cant even pronounce the name. If someone else on the site has a name already try not to use it for your character. Be an individual!

5. Celeb Claims must be human! Now I know this sounds like a silly rule, but there are many people out there that attempt to make a character based on a drawing, or some anime character... you need to use a real person. Actor, Singer, model... it doesn't matter who they are as long as they are/were alive. PS. If your character is a demon you will still not be allowed to use a drawing as your claim.

6. At least one paragraph per IC post. This is not a lot to ask. A good writer can easily come up with a paragraph's worth of material for a post. If you have difficulty, attempt describing things around you. Smells, sights, sounds and feelings.

7. Please be active. We don't expect you to be on every single minute of every single day, but please try to stay with us. We ask that if you join, please come on at least twice a week. A few minutes to post and talk to us is great. If you are going to be away please, make sure that you let us know by posting in our away thread.

8. Stay in Character. This simply means that if your character is a hippie that loves animals, they are not going to be wearing fur and chopping down trees. Try to stay within realism as much as possible. after all that's whats going to make this site great.

9. The Rules. In order for us to know you read the rules you need to post the following phrase in the right spot on your application. -Did I fall asleep?-

10. In order to have a second character you must have at least 50 posts with your original one first. This will keep people from making a ton of characters and not be able to handle them all.

11. Have fun! This site was created so people would have fun. Us as fellow BtVS and AtS lovers will have lots of fun and meet all types of people so yeah loosen up! =]
